Video Description:
This is my device to test if neodymium magnets run down, fade away, or what ever.
The stator has 8 alnico magnets with 1 neodymium magnet glued to each one. The rotor has 6 alnico magnets with 1 neodymium magnet glued to each one. All 8 stator magnets have the same polarity facing inward. All 6 rotor magnets have the same polarity facing outward. Hence north/north, or south/south.
It has been in use for over a month with no degradation of the magnets capability. Strangely enough is does slightly warm up the stator. Their maximum working temperature is only 150 degrees C (302 degrees F).
The Curie Temperature for NdFeB magnets is 310C (590F). Demagnetizing Fields
This is an area where these magnets outperform others. They are tough to demagnetize. This also means that they can easily demagnetize other classes of magnets - like SmCo or Alnico or Ferrite! Again, store your magnets separately by class.

@rickbeam, Now your talking. It makes sense to use replaceable units, like I did.
Some devices have formed or shaped magnets for specific applications. But if they last 100 years + that's is fine for this boy.

@doopermountainman . I don't spend my time worrying about thermodynamics or any published theories the way you young fellows seem to think is so important & the only way to learn anything. Try & learn something on your own instead of from a book.You may put up your picture & show us what a scammer looks like.

I deliberately missed the fact that magnetic fields do not do work on a system. I have tried designing and making many machines for different purposes, however this machine is quite blatant in how it will not work. If you are right and I am wrong, then you should publish a theory. If you do this you will win the Nobel Prize in physics. I'm sure a 700k euros would allow you to do very well for yourself.

@doopermountainman, I haven't found, nor am I looking for perpetual motion. My
e-books aren't selling that stuff either. I'm sure that regular text books are correct in their findings, but that doesn't stop me & people like me from trying new things to see what happens. Did you know that the American Patent Office almost closed down after the American Civil War, because they thought there was nothing more to invent!! Forward thinking, eh.

I will add that my knowledge of physics is very experimental. As part of my course I have spent a lot of time in lab, looking at these various laws. Lenz's law is easy enough to see with a strong magnet and a copper pipe, ull find a video about that somewhere on youtube
